Dr Ian Monk - Senior Partner (m)
MRCP MRCGP DCH DFSRH PGCMEd
Trained at Oxford University in Medicine (2009 - Hons) and Biochemistry (2005 Top 1st) - with time studying in Princeton University & The Jackson Laboratory. Did clinical training at some of the best hospitals in the UK - Addenbrookes, Papworth, Hammersmith & The Royal Brompton and did additional training in adult medicine (MRCP) before qualifying as GP in 2017. Have worked in New Zealand and throughout the UK before joining St Albans Medical Centre in 2020 and as partner from 2025.
Special Interests: Musculoskeletal joint injections, Menopause care & Family Planning - experienced coil/implant fitter. Also a GP trainer.
Keen interest in travelling to and hiking National Parks of the world and keeping fit with triathlon since retiring from rowing.

Dr Sally Monk - Partner (f)

Graduated from Oxford University with a Master’s degree in Biochemistry in 2006, and subsequently completed a degree in Graduate Entry Medicine at Cambridge University in 2010. Completed two years of Anaesthetic training in east London before going on to do GP training in Wessex. Since qualifying as a GP in 2017, have worked throughout the UK and also in New Zealand before settling at St Albans Medical Centre in 2020.
Special interests include the Menopause and coil/implant insertion. Also have a role as a GP trainer and appraiser.
Outside of work interested in sport and travel.

Dr Lucy Dormer - Partner (f)

Trained at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and achieved my Medical Degree in 2011. During my Medical Degree, I worked in various Intensive Care Units all across London and in Jersey as an Intensive Care Specialist Nurse. Achieved 1st Class BSc (Hons) degree. Worked in Sydney, Australia in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Worked in a variety of hospitals for my postgraduate medical training across South West London and North Surrey. Completed my MRCGP in March 2017 and joined St Albans Medical Centre in 2022. I have been a Medical Examiner since September 2022.
Specialist Interests - Dermoscopy, Skin lesions, Minor Surgery, Learning Disability, Safeguarding.
I enjoy spending time with my young family, exploring the local area and helping out the local community.

Dr Jannake Sivajee - Salaried GP (f)

I qualified from Imperial College Medical School in 2008, where I also completed a BSc (Hons) in Haematology. During my training, I worked across major London teaching hospitals including Chelsea and Westminster, St Mary’s, Charing Cross and Hammersmith, as well as several local hospitals such as Kingston Hospital, Epsom and St Helier, and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
My clinical experience spans a wide range of specialties including obstetrics and gynaecology, respiratory medicine, psychiatry, sexual health and urology. I hold a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and have a particular interest in children’s medicine, taking part in a children’s clinic every winter. I have also written a hospital protocol for junior doctors on call and contributed to medical school interview processes.
I am an active member of the Kingston and Richmond Local Medical Committee, supporting the local medical community and advocating for high-quality patient care. Having grown up locally, I value the strong sense of community in the area and continue to enjoy everything it has to offer.
Outside of work, I spend my time with my family and enjoy crafting as a creative outlet.

Dr Marina Akham - Salaried GP (f)

I graduated from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore, India in 2018 before moving to the UK. I completed my GP training in Surrey between the years 2021-2024. As an international medical graduate, I am proud to state that I passed my GP membership exams upon first attempt and scored very high on the communication and interpersonal domains.
I really enjoy being a GP and value the opportunity to build lasting relationships with my patients and their families. I am passionate about providing kind, patient-centred care and supporting people through all stages of their health and wellbeing.
Outside of work, I enjoy running in Wandsworth Common and Richmond Park, exploring London's food scene, and spending time with my family and friends.

Musculoskeletal Specialists
Kemila Goppy (f) - FCP
Kemila joined our practice in March 2021 and comes with a wealth of musculoskeletal experience having qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2005. She has worked in various settings and held the position of Advanced Practice Physiotherapy since 2017. She is highly skilled at assessing and managing patients with complex neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Kemila can organise necessary diagnostic tests, refer to appropriate services and sign MSK fit notes once a full assessment has been carried out. You can therefore book with Kemila instead of the GP for any MSK problems.
Dietitian
Marialice (Alice) Albertini (f)
Alice is a HCPC registered Dietitian working at St Medical Practice on Wednesday mornings (7.30am to 1.00pm). Both face to face and telephone/video appointments can be offered.
She has gained extensive dietetic experience in Gastroenterology, Diabetes and Bariatric services. She is also trained in delivering the low FODMAP diet and is an accredited DESMOND Educator. Alice can provide dietetic advice to paediatric patients. She is happy to see the breadth of primary care dietetic problems including (but not limited to):
- IBS including help with the FODMAP diet
- Coeliac disease
- Obesity
- Pre-diabetes and Diabetes
- Nutrition support
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Failure to thrive/faltering growth
Alice can assess and review appropriate prescribing of nutritional borderline substances including oral nutritional supplements and specialist infant formulae.
Maya Muller (f)
BSc Dietetics, MTherapeutic Nutrition, Dip Sports Nutrition
Trained in Dietetics at Stellenbosch University, completing a BSc in Dietetics (2017) and later a Masters in Dietetics (2025). I also hold a Diploma in Sports Nutrition (2024) through the International Olympic Committee. I began my career as a dietitian in South Africa, working across both paediatric and adult services, before moving to the UK to join Kingston Hospital as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian. I joined St Albans Medical Centre in 2024, offering clinics one Friday a month from 09:00-12:00.
Special interest: Paediatrics, diabetes, allergies, sports nutrition, and nutrition support.
Health and Wellbeing Coach
Katya Bobova (f)
Katya holds the Health Coaching qualification from the Institute of Integrative Health (IIN, NYC).
She specialises on chronic inflammatory conditions that have root causes in lifestyle factors – including, but not limiting to insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver disease, cardiovascular disease, gout, arthritis, fatigue, hormone disruptions, chronic headaches, gastrointestinal conditions, such as IBS, bloating, constipation, gastritis, acid reflux and other.
Katya’s experience also lies in working with sleep problems, such as insomnia, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, nightmares and other sleep problems.
Katya practises an integrated whole-body approach, her Health Coaching tools are based on the 4 pillars of health: sleep, diet, stress management and movement for health.
Social Prescriber

Social Prescribing is a holistic approach to promoting and improving your health and wellbeing. It is a free service offered to all patients registered at St Albans Medical Centre aged 18 and over. A social prescriber works alongside health professionals to support you with many issues which may be non-medical but have an impact on your health and well-being. Such things could include isolation and loneliness, getting active, support with housing problems, benefits, financial issues etc. Angie can help you link in with the right organisations or groups in the community to help you take control and address what matters to you.

Medicines Optimisation Programme, BTEC National Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
Bing Xu is a highly skilled professional specialising in Medicines Management and Optimisation within primary care. Their integral role ensures patient safety, enhances medication adherence, and drives clinical efficiency across the practice and Primary Care Network (PCN).
Medication Management: Manages the full prescribing lifecycle, conducts comprehensive medicines reconciliation post-discharge, and ensures essential clinical monitoring is strictly met (e.g., blood tests, shared care).
Clinical & Patient Support: Acts as a primary contact for all medicine-related queries (including drug alerts/shortages). Supports high-risk drug monitoring and improves patient adherence through person-centred consultations and setting up compliance aids.
Nurses
We have two Practice Nurses. They see patients by appointment for such services as dressings, immunisations, blood and urine tests, blood pressure checks, ECG’s and cervical smears. They also give general advice on health and healthy living. In addition they carry out asthma and diabetic clinics.

Healthcare Assistants
We have two health care assistants who undertake some routine nursing duties so that the practice nurses can offer their more specialised skills to our patients. She has received training and assessment in certain areas such as taking bloods, routine blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, ECG’s, simple dressings, new patient health checks and weight checks. She also undertakes chaperone duties if required.

Practice Management
Miss Milena Bodda - Practice Manager
Milena Bodda is responsible for the running of the practice and should be able to help you with any questions about administration or non-medical aspects of your treatment within the practice.
If you have any problems or feel you have a complaint about the attention you receive, please speak to Milena, she is always willing to listen and may be able to help and advise. She would also be happy to hear your views and suggestions about the services offered by the practice. Milena is responsible for managing our “in house” complaints procedure.

Administration
We have one secretary and a team of part time receptionists. The ladies behind the reception desk will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see the doctor, undertake repeat prescriptions, answer numerous and varied questions and offer help and assistance at all times. They are specially trained to take messages and essential details sympathetically and in the strictest confidence so that all the doctors can treat everyone as their needs dictate. It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patients’ records is maintained at the highest level by all staff. Their job is very demanding – please help them to help you!

Community Midwives
Community midwives are responsible for nursing care in pregnancy and childbirth. They can be contacted via the midwifery office at Kingston Hospital.
Community Nurses
The district nursing team have an office based at Hawks Road Clinic (tel: 020 8255 1300). Their duties include visiting housebound patients of any age in their homes where there is a medical or nursing need, giving practical assistance or offering professional advice. Each patient’s needs are assessed and their care / treatment is planned accordingly. District nursing sisters are experienced registered general nurses with a certificate or diploma in district nursing.
Health Visitors
The health visitor provides health advice for children and expectant mothers. She has special responsibility for health and development in the under fives. She can be contacted 020 8549 3672.
