Important: Seasonal vaccination
Flu: This programme starts this year on 3rd October.
If you are aged 65 or over or have certain long term conditions the Practice will contact you over the next 2 weeks to offer you the vaccination at one of our clinics at St Albans Medical Centre (midweek clinics and 1 clinic on a Saturday in October). If you do not hear from us please check if you are eligible by visiting Flu vaccine - NHS and contact the surgery to book your appointment.
COVID: We are hoping to co-administer with a flu jab but there are no further details available at the moment.
Children's flu: We will be inviting patients (born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2022 and children with certain long-term conditions) in for our clinics in October.
RSV vaccine: this is a new vaccine that can cause flu like symptoms. We will be contacting patients, aged 75-79, to book for this vaccine from beginning of September. For more information and to check if you are eligible visit Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) - NHS.
